Concord Mills gets a New Set of Signs — Fabricated Right Here in Concord, NC

Concord Mills Mall, North Carolina’s most visited place and owned and operated by the Simon Property Group, had a major signage facelift at the end of 2018.

The mall opened in September 1999 and offered a retro style with its bright blues, aquas and magentas color scheme. Seventeen years later, Simon has decided to give the mall a brand new store-front appearance with the best fabrication material the technology of the day has to offer.

Our 55,000 square-foot fabrication facility is located a few minutes north of Concord Mills Mall and was once full of the signs fabricated for their signage upgrade.

The forces of nature were working against Rite Lite as the Mid-November monsoon rain drenched the ground for days around the digging of a 15′ deep x 5′ circumference hole for a 70′ above-grade & 15′ below-grade telescoping steel support pole and then finding a way to get 7 cubic-yards of cement over 100 yards of flush muddy terrain.

Much love to our friends over at Herc Rentals for finding the heavy equipment mud mats so that we could complete this wet installation.

Final Shots

Despite all the challenges faced during this project, Rite Lite has once again finished on top with a kick-ass product for one of the most visited places in North Carolina!

Much thanks to our fabrication, paint, vinyl and assembly teams for putting these masterpieces together. And…… We can’t forget our dedicated Project Managers who put their passion into this project. Lastly, a shout-out to our Installation Manager and Crews for working hand-over-fist to get a plethora of large signs installed and fully operating!

It takes a strong internal team to put together and execute a project like what Rite Lite did for Concord Mills Mall sign upgrade. There are so many moving parts that the gears had to work together to make this happen!
