In the beginning of 2018, Rite Lite Inc. had the awesome opportunity to work alongside some respected names in the construction & creative worlds on a project that is bound to stimulate and inspire residents & visitors of Charlotte for decades to come!
Novel NoDa is a luxury apartment facility located at 36 Street Station on the Blue Line of the LYNX Light Rail – Charlotte’s public train connecting the top and bottom of HWY 485 that circles the Charlotte region – and serves as a gateway to Charlotte’s creative neighborhood of NoDa (North Davidson)
Rite Lite was apart of four custom fabrication projects at Novel NoDa. The first project was fabricating perforated metal panels for Developer Crescent Communities that were specially installed in the negative space of the Novel NoDa’s parking garage, providing more surface area of the neighborhood’s muralist to cover the entire garage with a mural. The mural is truly a landmark of Charlotte with it’s saturated impact as the Blue Line Light Rail train carries passengers by it every ten minutes.
In addition to signage, Rite Lite enjoys fabricating large-works of artistic features to add to the atmosphere of a facade or walk-way. This metal trellis designed by LandDesign invites patrons of Novel NoDa and 36 Street Station to admire the tensioned wires that capture the light on the brushed aluminum panels.
Inside Novel NoDa in the gym area, Rite Lite fabricated four metal-accent ceiling pieces that tastefully hang with a series of light-bulbs over the work-out machines, complementing the brick motif of the space.
Finally, Rite Lite designed and fabricated a decorative metal fence that covers the electrical boxes for the Luxury Apartments. This area greets motorists entering into Novel NoDa and pedestrians making their way to and from the 36th Street Station.
